Hospitality Blog- everything you must know!
It is all about the WINE!

A recent article in the Vancouver Sun written by Anthony Gismondi titled “An insider’s guide to the wine festival” prompted me to write this blog. In today’s hospitality environments a manager must pay attention to the wines that they offer to their customers. Wine lists are no longer just based on what the manager pays for a bottle of wine and the return on the investment.  Customers are definitely more educated on wine, there is so many wine education courses, wine tasting and festivals that a customer is truly becoming a wine connoisseur.  Managers must strive to offer something different from the standard well-known cabernets and savignon-blancs, why not offer a Malbec from Finca Flichman Gesto Malbec 2008, from Mendoza, Argentina priced at just $20.00 per bottle. The (Ata Rangi) Paddy Borthwick Pinot Noir 2008, Wairarapa, New Zealand at $35.00 per bottle.

Your customer is going to appreciate the effort and the experience and why not put on a wine maker’s dinner and pair some of these fabulous finds with some tantalizing food.  For the person that likes to entertain at home why not put on your own wine maker’s dinner and food pairing.  For more information on how to set up a wine event give First Services Hospitality a call (778)988-9440.
