Provide your employees with some wonderful outside catering and turn it into a reception style. A special event license can be purchased and you can monitor the amount of alcohol that people drink during this time or go non-alcoholic and purchase bottles of wine that you hand to your employees when they leave the party. Please remember to have those taxi vouchers on hand as you do not want to promote drinking and driving. Have some fun games involved this will draw the guests together and it makes it more festive.
Be savvy…. Look at for venues that offer the holiday menus with lots of choices. Ask for a quote or their best prices, businesses expect this today with the economy the way it is. Make sure you choose a venue where you have been before and have enjoyed the food and beverage.
Combine your event…Do you have another branch in the same city? Combine the two branches to make one special event. This way you can split the costs and still throw a wing-ding of a good time. It is a good way for other employees to get to know each other.
Be creative…. Theme event anyone why not go to a comedy club and dinner show or how about that murder mystery dinner show. It is a great way to build a team and has everyone laughing or interacting.
Invest time… Make it special by being involved do not just hand it off to someone else. Employees will respect you for being present and not just making the speech. Give quality and not quantity as employees are not stupid and understand the economy as well, so provide a quality time and you will gain more than if you over do it with bad quantity.
